It appears that the museum/university people are confused and have assumed that just because my photo appears on the same website as one that also includes nude/sexual photography that it is being displayed in that context, this is what appears the main source of contention for them. The guys at the gallery however are being friendly and accommodating regarding the officious and bureaucratic conditions suddenly created by the museum.

They've kindly agreed to separate my image from the erotic context in the next day or so. I'll be taking further action on this as needed.
I'm wondering what sort of legal procedures the university can take, given that there was no contract between us, and that permissions, conditions and so on were verbal in nature.
